CHYSLER BUILDING
Chysler Building was the tallest building in the world, during the period of 1930 – 1931. William Van Alen was the architect, one who built this architecture. He was born in New York at Brooklyn in 1883. Chysler was one of the landmarks of New York and among the top 25 New York buildings, it took the 2nd place. The building was constructed during the time period of 1928 – 1930. Art Deco was the type of style used to construct this building. It has 77 floors with 1048 feet (319.5m) high. The structure was made up of 29961 tons of steel with 3,8,26,000 bricks. The bricks were used near the rows of the window. Its cost was about $20,000,000 for the construction of this architecture. The building was covered with dark gray and white bricks. The dark gray brick was used to elevate all the window rows for decoration purpose. The building is located at 405 Lexington Avenue at 42nd street. It has Sharp Entrance Gateway that is in triangular form to ease traffic in all three directions. The entrance hall is greatly ornamented with sienna – colored floor, Red Morccon marble walls, blue marble and steel in composition of Art Deco.
